Offensive Christians experiences Censorship & was EXPELLED!
Offensive Christians posted a comment here on Jeffrey Shallit’s Recursivity blog
The comment was regarding his question “Does anyone like the movie “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”? Anyone?” I answered and he promptly hit me with an ad hominem attack. I replied and pointed out the typical attack one gets from many atheists and he did not approve my post. This type of censorship seems to be the very thing Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is about. This professor from Canada proves the issue Ben Stein brings up in Expelled by not allowing me to defend myself on his blog from his attacks. This is the kind of repression of ideas that seems to be required to prop up Darwinism.
I’ve cut and pasted the current comment string just in case my comment is later deleted:

- Jeffrey,
I liked it. I’ll see it again. Did you see it?

http://www.offensivechristians.com - Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant, did anyone with connected brain cells like it?
- “with connected brain cells”
I lol’d.

- Dave - It still has a higher rating than Battlefield Earth, probably thanks to mr Moring.
There’s still time for that to change however.

To be fair, you didn’t give any indication that you were leaving a serious post. He must have thought you were just a troll. If you want a substantial reply, next time you should say why you liked it, or listed some good points; anything but a simple disagreement. Still, his insult was unjustified.

I know my first comment was a bit spammy, but he took a whack at me and then deleted my response. Not nice, not fair, and an example of censorship like one sees in Expelled.

You do realize that Recursivity’s comments are moderated before they are posted, right? Your second comment is on that blog entry…

Tommy,
Yes, I read that his comments were moderated. Look at the times on the posts on his site and my post above - He clearly moderated that thread and left me hanging while he approved the following comment. No worries, I’m glad he changed his mind and put the post up. Thanks for stopping by and pointing out that it was up.

I assume you’ll be posting a correction to your original post now that your comment has appeared?

You seem to be a little unclear on the concept of “censorship.” Since the comments are moderated, the moderator had an opportunity to “censor” you comment by not posting it. Instead, he allowed it to be posted and then made disparaging remarks about you. This may be rude, but it is not censorship.
Perhaps you are confusing “censor” with “censure.”

You’re not making a good case here. On that blog, it clearly states: “All comments are moderated to remove spam and duplication. Please be patient; your comment will usually appear within 12 hours.” You can’t expect him to be at his blog 24/7.
Also, I’d be interested in hearing what sort of arguement “Expelled” made. From what I’ve heard, it has nothing to say about validity of evolution, and instead focuses on claiming that scientific ideas are being repressed.
