About
Imagine a war…A war in which one side continually devises new attacks and executes them. The other side hunkers down and hopes for the best while expending all efforts to defend themselves. Who will ultimately win?
Welcome to the War.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. - Ephesians 6:12

Christianity has always been offensive

[...] Extra Link: A New Nadir Wow! I didn’t think people were really like this but I guess I should have learned not to underestimate the possibilities of human thought. [...]

Dogeatery,
I agree. The message that we are all sinful creatures that are only concerned with ourselves and are determined to be our own gods is offensive to us.
We are rebels at heart and don’t want anyone else telling us what to do or how to live. Of course a rightful ruler who is holy and must judge us to enforce His justice is offensive.
It is particularly offensive in this day to advocate for one truth.
Yep, We’re Offensive Christians™ but we still are called to love you and we do or we wouldn’t be sharing what we believe is the only way to spare you or anyone eternal suffering.
Thanks for stopping by. The Nader nadir thing was a cute touch. I was a humanist once a but I realized that it wasn’t the zenith.

OC,
Religious beliefs can’t keep you from death any more than money, political power, or other ego projects can. Even sex only has the power to carrying your genes to the next generation. You, yourself, are toast eventually no matter how you slice it. Just like everyone else. You can only extend your life so much by living on the straight and narrow, and many times not at all… if you are unlucky enough to be born a Jew in Nazi Germany, for example.
Now that’s the real hard truth that few can accept, and Christianity is part of that denial. I’m curious to see whether you can back up your boast that you can face offensive truths by facing this one, or if you’ll switch to “well, it doesn’t matter if God doesn’t exist, we still need to believe even falsehoods to avoid apparent ‘meaninglessness.’”
